TextQ FAQ
How importing, personalization, review, sending, privacy, and pricing work.
Product and sending
What is TextQ?
TextQ turns the contact list you already have into personalized texts you can review and send from your own iPhone. Paste spreadsheet rows or import a CSV or Excel file, write one message, personalize it with the fields in your list, then choose how to send.
Can I review messages before they are sent?
Yes. TextQ shows your recipients and personalized messages before you start sending. You can remove an unsent recipient and choose Send One by One or Fast Send.
What number do messages come from, and where do replies go?
Messages are sent through Apple Messages from your own number. Replies stay in Messages, where you already text.
What is Fast Send?
Fast Send is an optional way to handle the remaining reviewed messages. You review the batch in TextQ, then explicitly choose Open Shortcuts & Start Sending. Fast Send does not start silently, and launching the Shortcut outside that reviewed TextQ flow sends nothing.
What can I import?
Paste rows from a spreadsheet, or import a CSV (.csv) or Excel (.xlsx) file. TextQ supports lists with or without a recognizable header and skips missing-phone and duplicate-phone rows with an import summary.
Can I personalize with my spreadsheet columns?
Yes. Use imported fields such as {firstName}, {name}, {address}, {date}, or other column titles in your message. TextQ also has a convenient Hi {firstName} option. You can add one image, and image-only messages are supported.
Does TextQ confirm delivery?
No. Processed is TextQ’s completion and usage status; it is not carrier delivery or receipt confirmation. Check Apple Messages for the conversation and available message status.
Privacy, focus, and pricing
Do I have to give TextQ access to Contacts or create an account?
No Contacts access. No account. You bring the list you already have by paste, CSV, or Excel import.
Can I save lists or message templates in TextQ?
TextQ stays focused on the current sending task rather than keeping a contact database or template library. Keep your long-term list in the tool you already use. For messages you reuse often, iPhone Text Replacement is a simple way to save reusable wording.
How do the first 30 free recipients work?
Your first 30 cumulative Processed recipients are free. There is no countdown and the allowance does not reset with a new list, session, or batch. Importing, previewing, cancelling, failures, and Needs Review do not use the allowance. A batch must fit within your remaining allowance before it starts; TextQ does not process part of an over-limit batch.
What happens after my first 30 recipients?
TextQ Pro is required for ongoing use. Standard U.S. pricing is $9.99/month or $79.99/year, and both plans unlock the same Pro access. The App Store shows the current localized price and purchase terms before you subscribe.
Is TextQ Pro unlimited?
No. To keep TextQ focused on responsible personal outreach, Pro includes sending limits: up to 100 recipients per batch, 200 in a rolling 24 hours, and 2,000 in a rolling 30 days.
Still have a question?
TextQ Support can help with importing, personalization, Review, or sending.
