TextQ Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TextQ handles information when you use the TextQ iPhone app, visit the TextQ website, or contact support.

1. TextQ is designed to keep your contact list local

TextQ does not require access to your iPhone Contacts and does not require a TextQ account.

You provide contact information to TextQ by pasting a list or importing a CSV or Excel file. TextQ uses that information to prepare personalized messages for the current task.

TextQ does not upload your imported contact list to a TextQ server or save it as a reusable contact list, address book, or CRM database.

The original CSV or Excel file remains where you selected it from. TextQ reads the file for the import and does not create its own permanent copy of the source file.

2. Messages and images

TextQ lets you prepare message text using information from your imported list. You may also choose one image to include with your messages.

Your active list, message, and selected image are primarily handled on your device for the current task.

When you choose to send, TextQ provides the recipient, personalized message, and optional image needed for the selected sending flow to Apple system services such as Messages or Shortcuts.

TextQ does not operate its own messaging service. It does not read your Messages conversations or replies, and it does not receive carrier delivery confirmation. A message shown as “Processed” in TextQ does not mean that the carrier delivered it.

3. Fast Send and temporary local data

Fast Send uses temporary data stored on your device so that the reviewed batch can be handed to Apple Shortcuts and reconciled when you return to TextQ.

This temporary data may include recipient phone numbers, personalized message text, an optional image, and operational information needed to manage the current Fast Send session.

Fast Send sessions have a limited validity period. Temporary data is removed through completion and reconciliation, cancellation or clearing, expiration cleanup, operating-system cleanup, or removal of the app. Expiration cleanup may occur the next time the relevant TextQ sending workflow runs rather than at the exact moment the validity period ends.

TextQ does not upload this Fast Send data to a TextQ server.

4. Local usage, safety, and preference information

TextQ keeps a small amount of information locally on your device to operate the app. This can include:

  • your cumulative Free usage count;
  • operational records used to enforce sending limits and safely reconcile sending activity; and
  • basic preferences, such as whether certain introductory screens or setup steps have been completed.

These operational records are separate from your imported contact list. They do not store your contact list, message contents, or images as a reusable database.

Some local preferences or operational records may remain for the lifetime of the app's data and may be included in device backups according to Apple's platform behavior. Some platform-managed storage, such as Keychain or restored backups, may also behave differently when an app is deleted and reinstalled.

5. Subscriptions and Apple services

TextQ Pro subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit.

TextQ uses Apple-provided subscription information to determine whether TextQ Pro is active. TextQ does not operate its own subscription server or maintain a separate TextQ account for your subscription.

Apple may process information when you use Messages, Shortcuts, the App Store, StoreKit, the system photo picker, or other Apple services. Apple's own privacy terms apply to information processed by those services.

6. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

TextQ does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, attribution SDKs, or cross-app or cross-site tracking.

TextQ does not sell or rent your personal information.

7. TextQ website and Cloudflare

The TextQ website is a static website hosted using Cloudflare Pages.

TextQ does not use website forms, accounts, advertising, tracking pixels, session replay, or website analytics at launch. TextQ does not intentionally set first-party cookies on the website.

Cloudflare provides the website hosting and content-delivery infrastructure. In providing those services, Cloudflare may process ordinary request and network information such as IP addresses, traffic and routing information, system information, request and error information, and security or threat information.

Cloudflare's handling and retention of information processed through its infrastructure is governed by its own applicable privacy and service terms.

8. Support email

If you contact TextQ at textq.support@gmail.com, you choose what information to include in your email.

Please do not send contact lists or screenshots containing private recipient information unless they are genuinely necessary to resolve your issue.

Information voluntarily sent to support may be kept as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, troubleshoot an issue, maintain appropriate records, or address legitimate legal or security needs.

You may ask us to delete information you voluntarily sent to support by emailing textq.support@gmail.com, subject to information that may reasonably need to be retained for legal or security purposes.

9. Retention and your choices

Most contact-list and message preparation data in TextQ relates only to your active task and is not maintained as a reusable list after that task or app session.

Fast Send uses temporary on-device information as described above. Separate local usage, safety, and preference records may remain longer because they are used to operate TextQ.

TextQ does not maintain a cloud account containing your imported lists for you to delete.

You can clear your active work in TextQ or remove the app from your device. Apple-controlled Keychain and backup behavior may affect whether certain limited local operational information persists or is restored.

For information you voluntarily sent to support, you may request deletion by contacting textq.support@gmail.com.

10. Children

TextQ is not directed to children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information directly to TextQ support, contact textq.support@gmail.com so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

11. Changes to this Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as TextQ changes.

When the Policy changes, the Effective Date will be updated. If a change materially affects how TextQ handles information, additional notice may be provided where appropriate.
